Louise on stage

Louise is about to wear the Cartes postales de Chimère’s costume again!

Cartes postales de Chimère is one of those works that define a career, that stay in the memory, that move critics to effusive praise. Presented for the first time in 1996 then re-enacted in 2015, the solo Cartes postales de Chimère originally made to measure for Louise Bédard was given simultaneously to two charismatic and great dancers : Isabelle Poirier and Lucie Vigneault. In 2017, circumstances lead Louise to dance again her work and give life and breath to the touching portraits of women appearing in this solo. It is with pleasure and excitement that Cartes postales de Chimère will be presented on two unique occasions:Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 5:30 pm – outdoor free performance
Fragments of the work will be restage during a performance for the Prince Arthur Danse! a dance series presented by arrondissement Plateau-Mont-Royal at the corner of Prince-Arthur and Saint-Dominique streets.
Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 7:30 pm – free event, booking is recommended
Cartes postales de Chimère is almost at the end of its tour presented by “le Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée”. The piece will be held in its original version at salle Émile-Legault at the Cégep Saint-Laurent. The show will be followed by a meeting-discussion with Louise.
