Flood (2021)
Flood is a solo created by choreographer Louise Bédard and performed by dancer Marie Claire Forté. Alone in a vast, bare space, she gradually acclimatizes to an ordinary orange work chair. Between reality and dream, the slow swaying of her hips turns into a wave that gradually invades the greyness of the space. Supported by Diane Labrosse's music, the undulations of the body spread and the imprint of her actions try to become embedded in the surface of the floor. Finally, she gets up to confront the tumult of the waves that are discreetly moving away.
